Keeping those little ones busy during the day is a full time task! You want to make sure to give them interactive and stimulating activities, yet not have the whole house torn to shreds! Here are some fun and easy clean up crafts to do with your toddlers!
1.Paper Towel Bird Feeders
You will need:
Empty paper towel rolls
Hole puncher
Peanut butter
Bird Seed
Yarn or string
Take empty paper towel rolls and punch a hole at the top. Thread some string thru and then roll in peanut butter. Roll again in bird seed! Hang up and watch the birdies snack on this great treat
2. Homemade Bath Tub “Crayons”
You will need:
Glycerin soap
Ice cube tray or silicone mold of your choice
Assorted food colors
Melt down the glycerin soap in the microwave, add food coloring, and pour into a mold. I used an ice cube tray. You can also add essential oils if you go for scents if you like. Takes about an hour to cool completely, then pop out of the mold and you have crayons!
3.Paper plate JellyFish
You will need:
Googly eyes
Yarn
Paper Plates
Hole puncher
Glue
Punch 8 holes at the bottom of the plate. String yarn thru and tie at about 4″ in length for Jellyfish “tentacles”
Glue on googly eyes in the middle for a cute jellyfish!
4.Wooden Block Stamps
You will need:
Assorted old wooden blocks
Non toxic finger paints
Construction Paper
Something to protect your work surface (news paper/old sheet)
Mix up the finger paints. Use the blocks as “stamps” and make different shapes!
Wash off and reuse for more fun later!
5. Painted Pasta Necklaces
You will need:
Tubular pasta of any size as long as it can be threaded.
Water color paints
Paint brushes
Water
Yarn (to thread pasta on for necklace)
Something to protect your work surface (news paper/old sheet)
Let the kiddos go to town on painting the pasta however they see fit!
Allow the pieces to dry thoroughly (perfect time to take a break for a snack!) and then thread onto yarn for necklaces or bracelets.
