Block Painting

Wood Block Painting

Materials:

paint brushes

high gloss (polyurethane gloss)

blocks

small bowl with water

plastic plate or paper towel

Directions:

Start by laying out some newspaper or an old towel on a flat surface.

Research some ideas online or in books for different characters you want to make. For example, mind craft, sonic, legos or minions.

Pick your paint colors and add a dime size of each color to a paper plate or paper towel. I would start by using 5 colors at a time.

Now your ready to paint your blocks! Remember to clean your brush in the water before dipping it into a new color so that the colors don't mix.

When you're done painting lay your blocks out on the newspaper or towel and let dry for about 1 to 2 hours.

Once your blocks are dry you will then add a thin layer of the high gloss (polyurethane gloss) to the block. Let dry for another 1 to 2 hours.
