$8 Homemade St Patrick's Day Wreath

Making a quick festive wreath for the current holiday is something we love to do with our families!

Here's a simple idea of one we made with using items we purchased from our local dollar store!

You'll need a hot glue gun and hot glue sticks so make sure those are in your craft box and you're ready to get started!

You will need the following:

1 Metal wreath ring

5 yards of green tulle

3 feet of black tulle (if you want contrast)

Assorted $1 store St Patrick's Day themed items

(we found a package of glittery shamrocks and a shamrock themed headband that we disassembled)

Using the green tulle, wrap the metal wreath ring completely. Cut pieces of the green and black tulle 5" long. Double knot them all around the wreath with the ends of the knots facing upward

Continue to make knots. We stopped at every 15 knots of green and added 5 knots of black for contrast color.

Once all the knots are complete, pull the tulle upwards and trim with scissors so the knots all have the same length.

Once it's completed, place the decor items as desired and adhere with a glue gun.

Allow to cool completely and hang on a wreath hook!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
